Presentation techniques and oral rhetoric

Velux has many specialists who have to pitch and convince. Both internally to decision-makers and externally to potential customers and partners. We have built a blended learning course that starts with a webinar to start the learning, brief the participants and introduce the first working model.
After this, all participants clarify learning points in peer discussions and finally they attend a two-day course with a couple of days in between, so that they can work on a specific presentation between the teaching days. Finally, they have access to ask questions to their teachers for 14 days after the course, when they sit with other presentations that they have specific questions about.

Meeting leadership and better meetings

The Danish Environmental Protection Agency wanted better office meetings. More motivating, clearer outcomes, clear objectives for the points and meetings that created unity between employees.
We built a course in meeting leadership that made them better able to plan and hold internal meetings with a clear agenda, a clear purpose, where everyone knows why they are participating, and what they are supposed to achieve together.
At the same time, we shared our templates and flow models for meeting planning, which make it easy and quick to plan meetings – as well as follow up on them.

Storytelling and good stories

Novozymes, with its efforts and products, makes a big difference in many households. And those storeys need to be told. Both internally, where they can create pride, purpose and identity; and externally, where they create credibility and company awareness.
We have built a workshop format where participants work with storytelling on three levels: Strategically – which storeys live in an organisation and how do you create storeys that win over other (perhaps negative) storeys? Structurally – what should good storeys contain and how to build the flow. Written rhetoric and better decisions and decision proposals

The Ministry of Employment would like to strengthen the ability of their officials to write accurate recommendations and notes that quickly provide an overview of the case and make it easy to make decisions.
We are running a course that focuses on two things: that a clear purpose, a clear recipient and a clear structure result in better texts that are more convincing and faster to write. And that with insight into a good writing process, you can save time, get better feedback from your boss and get texts that fit better into the political context in which the text is to be used. And of course, the employees work on their own texts along the way, so that they are also solving a work task.

Leadership communication

DTU (Technical University of Denmark) has many managers – both Danish and foreign – who must communicate strategy, leadership decisions, research priorities and general leadership messages. We have developed a part of their leadership programme where we train the managers in the above issues. The course runs in both Danish and English. Our course forms an integrated part of their larger programme, which also includes other leadership disciplines than communication.
The managers thus receive a course that is integrated with the organization’s other leadership development and that strengthens the managers – while the close connection makes it easy for the HR partners to follow up on the new tools we have given the managers.
