Courses: Storytelling and good stories
Do you want to become better at linking strategy to everyday practice? At telling success stories? At explaining cases, rules, concepts, and more through examples, stories, and anecdotes? Do you want to create captivating communication and articulate the direction of your organisation or unit through a clear core narrative?
Then one of Rhetorica’s courses in storytelling and good stories is exactly what you need.
With a combination of research‑based tools, hands‑on exercises, and plenty of real‑world examples—drawing on our experience and insights from hundreds of previous courses. The level can be adjusted to suit the participants, so that both those who naturally tell great stories around the lunch table and those whose weekend stories tend to be a little drier can benefit equally.
Among our clients for our courses in storytelling and good stories are:
- Many agencies and ministries
- Large and medium-sized Danish companies
- Universities, PhD schools and research organizations
- International organizations (where teaching is in English)
- Companies that want online training.
Optimal balance between theory and practise. I highly recommend the course.

We guarantee:
- That we deliver a course that provides research-based tools and exercises in them.
- That what you have learnt can be applied in your work from the day after the course.
- That even though it is research-based, the course offers surprisingly few dry textbooks and dusty compendia and quite a lot of laughs and good energy. Fun and interesting should go hand-in-hand with research-based and academically sound.
Among the topics covered in the courses are typically:
- Why storytelling is worth using,
- What a good story is built on,
- How stories can be used strategically,
- Storytelling as argumentation,
- Translating technical/professional material into examples and anecdotes.
And we are happy to combine it with research-based tools and exercises in presentation techniques, change communication, argumentation, decision making or other topics you want to have woven in.
Form and course
We tailor the format to suit your needs and reality – from a short inspirational presentation to an actual learning process. Meeting leadership can be done as one day or as two days – depending on the amount of exercises and whether facilitation, argumentation and presentations are included in the programme.
All courses end with both individual and joint evaluation as well as a post-learning exercise that increases participants’ ability to remember the new things they have learnt.
Overall, we work with the following format:
- A mix of theory, discussions and exercises – often based on the participants’ own meetings, so that they have planned and organised meetings while they learn.
- Learning is important – and knowing a theory or model is not the same as mastering it.
- Learning is important – and knowing a theory or model is not the same as mastering it.
- We let the participants give each other feedback, because often the meeting participants would like a tougher meeting leader than the meeting leader himself thinks.
- We offer extra reading material before, during and after the course, if you wish. So that learning can be optimised and we can get the most out of the lessons
Preparation
We put a lot of effort into preparation, as it is our experience that the most important criterion for success is that all expectations regarding content, form and pace are aligned both before and during a course. Therefore, it is also important that we know the participants’ everyday lives and work tasks before the course, so that we ensure that we know the participants’ prerequisites and know how we can best give them the benefit of the course.
Calculator
Use our calculator to estimate the price of our courses. Please note that the price is indicative and is influenced by, among other things, whether a senior or manager consultant is required for the assignment and the amount of prior customisation. Placing an order is not finally binding until we have had a subsequent dialogue about the content and dates for the course.
