BankInvest: Sharp presentations for portfolio managers and specialists
How we trained BankInvest’s portfolio managers and specialists to give presentations that engage and persuade clients – with video and individual feedback.
The challenge
Presentations are an important part of BankInvest's public face – it's where clients and partners meet its people and see what they can do. Teams present investments and sustainability (ESG) to banks, and portfolio managers need to explain complex investments clearly and credibly. The presentations had to be sharp and engaging – in both content and delivery – however experienced the participants already were.
Our approach
Workshops over one and a half to two days, built on the participants' own presentations:
- Day 1: Tailor the presentation to the audience and situation, come across as credible and sharp, structure the presentation to capture and hold the audience, and use slides that support the message.
- Day 2: Practice in small groups with the participants' own presentations, body language and delivery – on video with individual feedback.
- To take away: Specific advice for each participant and a short set of tools for their next presentations.
- Repeated: The program has run for several groups of portfolio managers, specialists and managers and been supplemented with intensive workshops for smaller groups.
The result
Participants rated the course 5.86 out of 6 for overall satisfaction and 5.86 for the trainers' delivery, and all said they could use what they learnt in their daily work to a significant or very high degree.
‘Very user-focused and down to earth. Lots of good examples.’

‘The balance between practice and theory – a deeper explanation of why the techniques work.’
